A news in Gulftimes today..
So it's in the Gulftimes today.
Last March, my Filipina friend here in Doha was hostaged by her flatmate's ex-husband.During that time, me & my family just came over to Manila. After two weeks, my husband went back to Doha while me & my son were left in Pinas to spend our long vacation. A day after he arrived in Doha, my husband tried to contact my friend thru SMS and kept on calling her to hand over his pasalubong, but to no avail. I begun wondering already, since she would normally reply and respond to us. After how many days, she finally called my husband through our landline to tell the story...i was shocked and worried. Her mobile phone was kept by the police as evidence. She was hostaged in her own flat, and the suspect took some pictures of her (using her mobile phone) while she was tied up and ordered her to call his ex-wife to come over. Good thing that after all the commotion, my friend was brought to the hospital by the suspect himself. Now the suspect is being held under the police's custody.
After how many days she went home to Pinas for a vacation and there we met.
She told me the whole story and showed me her scars from the wounds that was inflicted on her arms. We were just thankful that nothing worse than that happened to her.
Life can really be a drama. We do not know that anything we see on tv can actually happen to us.
Here's the story.
