My Second Christmas in Doha

It was my second year of celebrating Christmas in Doha, in fact it was Miggy's second time too, but i would say that this Christmas is better than last year. First, we have expanded our network of friends now since we joined Couples for Christ where we found a new family. Second, we also joined the music ministry which kept us busy enough to forget the nostalgia of being far away from home in this special season. I'm not actually so blessed with a singing voice but it was more of being supportive to my hubby and being of service to our community. Third, it was more special because by joining the music ministry, we were able to sing in one of the novena masses (simbang gabi) held last Dec.20 which was attended by almost two thousand Filipinos. Our Christmas celebration here in Qatar as a family was not anymore focused within the three of us. We shared the season with our new friends with gift giving just like the usual thing we do in Pinas. And although Miggy was far away from his grandparents, uncles, aunties and godparents, he felt so loved with the presents he received from our friends. More than any material thing, we were able to celebrate Christmas within our hearts with the gift of friendship. To everyone, i wish you a Merry and Blessed Christmas!
